A departure
I don't normally share our family's personal business on this blog, but we are too excited and willing to let this be shared with anyone willing to look. Today, I received a call from our adoption agency that we RECEIVED A REFERRAL. To those of you not familiar with adoption lingo, that means that a specific child was matched with our family's profile and we received the notification about who she is. Please join us in welcoming our newest daughter: Carmon Mei Chitty. She was born June 8, 2008 so she is a little over 6 months old.
I will post a more complete story here tomorrow, but I'll start with these. We are so thankful that the Lord has entrusted Carmon Mei to us.

ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful girl. Would she happen to be from the Yugan SWI in the Jiangxi Province? I have a 4 yo from there and there is something about the pictures that makes me think that -- my daughter's referral picture was taken in a chair just like that.

Since reading Tom's announcement email and seeing the pictures of Carmon, I have wondered a lot if you have thought about what you were doing on June 8--especially since your birthday was just days before hers!
