Dad wants Free Gas for Father's Day

$85 Back on a $100 Purchase of Dockers at Sears

Boy, was I excited to hear about this one! It appears that Sears is running a very frugal promotion through June 15th involving the purchase of $100 in Dockers brand clothing or accessories (belts, sock, pants, shorts, shirts, etc...but does excluse shoes.). When customers send in their receipt along with their entry form, Sears will give them a $75 gas gift card and also a $10 Sears Reward card by mail -- so a total of $85.00 back! And you can also be entered to win a hybrid Toyota Prius.

Entry forms can be found at Sears Department store point-of-sale posters between June 7th and June 15th, and can be found online here.

To enter, fill out the entry form in its entirety -- check the "opt-in" entry form box to indicate your desire to enter the sweepstakes -- and mail it to Dockers Gas Card Offer & Hybrid Car Sweepstakes, PO Box 1083, Grand Rapids, MN 55745-1083. Entries must be postmarked by no later than July 1, 2008 and received by July 8, 2008.

The easiest way to lower your electric bill by $100

Have you heard of FPL's OnCall Program?

In Central Florida, FPL (Florida Power & Light) has a program allowing you to save money on your electric bill every month. We signed up a couple months ago and have already seen the savings on our monthly statement. You call FPL, they schedule an appointment for you, and they send a contractor to your house to install some hardware on your existing major electrical appliances (hot water heater, A/C, pool pump). It's that easy!

You receive the monthly credit whether or not your appliances are cycled off. You are able to pick and choose which appliances you want to enroll. Cycling off is usually only for brief periods of time during peak demand. This is also an easy way to reduce stress on our planet by saving energy. So far, I have not noticed any cycling off. That doesn't mean it hasn't happened; it just means I haven't noticed it...except in my pocket book. Find out more information here: https://app.fpl.com/secure/forms/oncall.shtml

Raise money to fight poverty just by working out!

Join a global movement to fight poverty!

In 2006, Eric Harr, best-selling author, CBS fitness expert and professional triathlete, committed himself to the fight against poverty by joining CARE. He pledged to help people feel healthy, empowered, and inspired to support women around the world in realizing their full potential.

Raise money for CARE just by working out! For every hour you work out, doing whatever form of exercise you choose, Eric Harr will donate $5 to CARE, up to a maximum of $50,000. Work out five hours this week, and you will have automatically raised $25 for CARE! Feel good while doing good.

Every hour you work out equals $5 to support CARE's work! Follow this link http://www.care.org/feedback/workout.asp to log your workout hours now! There is no cost or obligation. You just log how many hours you have worked out (you can do it daily or you can do a summary report) and CARE will receive a donation from Eric Harr. Once you have logged 100 hours of exercise, you will even receive a free t-shirt.

Visit http://www.care.org/about/index.asp for more information. This is a great way to get motivated to workout for swimsuit season. Please bookmark CARE's workout log webpage to remind yourself to log your hours regularly!

31 Cent Scoop Night at Baskin-Robbins

For those of you looking for an inexpensive way to treat your children, Baskin-Robbins is hosting a 31 Cent Scoop Night in honor of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation.

Participating stores will reduce the price of small ice cream scoops to 31 cents.

In addition, a donation of $100,000 will be made by Baskin-Robbins to the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation. At select stores throughout the country, you may also have a chance to donate to your local fire station.

Who are we kidding, anyway? We know this is just an excuse to treat ourselves and let the kids think we are wonderful at the same time!
