Have you heard of FPL's OnCall Program?
In Central Florida, FPL (Florida Power & Light) has a program allowing you to save money on your electric bill every month. We signed up a couple months ago and have already seen the savings on our monthly statement. You call FPL, they schedule an appointment for you, and they send a contractor to your house to install some hardware on your existing major electrical appliances (hot water heater, A/C, pool pump). It's that easy!
You receive the monthly credit whether or not your appliances are cycled off. You are able to pick and choose which appliances you want to enroll. Cycling off is usually only for brief periods of time during peak demand. This is also an easy way to reduce stress on our planet by saving energy. So far, I have not noticed any cycling off.
